Except there is one problem with this.

Legit Players................... DO exist.

and this will hurt legit players simply wanting to do the quest.

How would Blizzard go about removing Arena Gear and Rewards because some people are win-trading?

There is mostly likely 1 (today's) HB Zquest left. I'm sure they'll get over it.

thats exactly what they should do, and those who still RR could get banned then.
I started doing RR and felt like.. this can't just go on forever and not be cheating, so I checked on here and saw it falls under match manipulation.
But I still do RR, i simply do it cause everyone else does it and cause they don't seem to care and can't even make a stupid announcement.

I mean if they actually ban people I already fall in that poll, so I can also just continue.. bet many other think that way and would stop it if anet actually said something more about it.

Because they've let exploiters go by in the pass (HFFF bots anyone?). Which is way worse then this.

(In my opinion this is really shameful for ArenaNet to unban hfff BOTS and perma ban Mallyx-Farming PLAYERS but what can I change? Who is more criminal, people who deliberately create a cheat program to automate an already gray area farm or honest players who are struck by the experience of a high level boss in an elite area?
And what was that thing with Duncan? No one even got a warning on their account, yet those who took the Mallyx shortcut are still perm banned)

They should stay more consistent that is all.

Did anyone already bring up the possibility that net can remove advancing in the quest unless you actually defeat the team or rightfully win? So winning due to a resign means you didn't really earn the win and don't advance in the quest?

The problem is the RR mechanism will still be there even when they remove HB and replace it with SD. I think people will continue to host RR days for which ever title it is linked to the SD or even the zquest if there is one. The only solution i can think of is make the quests and titles linked to unrated games and limit the reward. That way people can continue to work on titles using the unrated games and the serious players can continue to play rated games free of people resigning or rage quiting on them.

Match 1: Sabway player using a Spirit Spam build. Total Domination.

Match 2: Terrible ranger using Discordway demanding that I resign. He had no idea how to play and expects free wins because of it.

No, because it will be random, with dishonor points...

So i doubt that'll work.

as far as i know you dont get dishonor if your whole team resigns?

you know there is a problem when you have PVE guilds spamming recruit lines in hb outpost with NO mention of pvp at all.

i dont see why anet just doesnt add a couple clauses to this:

-must win a battle with rating >=1075 or rank <=3000
-resigns dont count towards title or zquest or resigns in the 1st minute of play do not count towards zquest
-facing no opponent at timer 9:59 results in a "this match has ended prematurely" NOT a win

it's so simple. and i'm sure its been said before. though i must say, i myself don't care. i know anet is lazy and doesnt take a logical approach to many things and have grown accustomed to the mindset "if it's ingame, take full advantage of it whilst you can".

True. Look at it this way... I've only HB once before today (like a year ago). My record today was 25-2. Even though I'm now ranked high enough to run into competent players with good builds, it is still little competition.

Also, as I mentioned earlier, resigns can't not count for a win, since resigning occurs many times in legitamate matches when the fight is one sided.

Also, resigns not counting as a win would lead to griefing. Imagine if you had just played a good 8 minutes of the match, and by now the opponent has no way of catching up. He could then resign and just deny you the win.

I'm going to go do some honest HB now, I'll post the lulzy results.

EDIT: I played two battles, I ended up red both times. I didn't resign so i could play, the blue came after me completely un prepared and got owned so bad they left.
